Alerts land at 50%, 75%, and 100%, and new teams start with a default $200 on-demand budget that fresh projects and keys inherit without extra setup. One caveat worth internalizing before you rely on this as a hard stop: the checks aren't continuous. Pausing, webhooks, and notifications can fire several minutes after you cross the line, so set the cap below the real ceiling you're willing to pay.
