The shutdown didn't arrive quietly. Two brownouts, on July 16 and 23, gave everyone a taste of what was coming, and now the lights are off for good. The playground, the model catalog, the inference API, and BYOK are all switched off, and the UI that fronted them is stripped out. This isn't a wind-down that spares people already using it — existing usage stops too. If you wired the inference API into anything that ships, those calls fail now, so treat this as a today problem, not a someday one.
