AWS has made WorkSpaces for AI Agents generally available, giving agents a sandboxed desktop surface to interact with legacy or GUI-heavy applications. The managed environment handles isolation and access controls, so teams don't have to retrofit apps with APIs or build bespoke browser-automation glue. The practical unlock is for enterprise automation workflows where the target application is decades old and won't be getting an API. Agents get a real desktop session; everything else is AWS's problem.
