Confluent Cloud Snapshot Queries reach general availability

  • Shipped
  • High importance

The feature stitches Kafka's live stream with Tableflow's historical records in a single read, so a query that would have required a full partition scan now returns in roughly 1/50th to 1/100th of the time. That gap between batch and streaming has historically forced teams to maintain two separate pipelines: one for historical backfill, one for live tails. Snapshot Queries collapse that into a single SQL call. The GA label means SLA coverage and production support. It was previewed at Current London in May; the production flag flipped in early June.
