Anthropic closes $65B Series H at $965B valuation, previews Mythos model

  • Discussion

The round is $65B, valuation is $965B, and annualized run-rate revenue crossed $47B in May — up from $10B at the end of 2025. That trajectory is the real headline. Altimeter, Dragoneer, Greenoaks, and Sequoia led; Amazon contributed $5B of the $15B hyperscaler slice. Mythos is the name attached to whatever comes after Opus 4.8. Anthropic says it has notable cyber capabilities including vulnerability chaining, and the company is deliberately holding back wide release until additional safeguards are in place. That framing — announce the danger before the model ships — is increasingly Anthropic's pattern, and it's worth watching whether the safeguard timeline slips the way frontier-model timelines usually do. Opus 4.8 pricing stays flat at $5/M input and $25/M output, but the fast-mode cost dropped to one-third of its prior price. That's the practical number for teams already integrated.
