FigJam gains two MCP skills: one for reading and writing to FigJam boards, and a generate-project-plan skill that converts codebases or documentation into visual project boards with ERDs and architecture diagrams. This marks a meaningful shift in how design tooling integrates with AI-driven development workflows. Teams using agent-based coding tools can now push visual artifacts into Figma and FigJam without leaving the coding environment, reducing context-switching and keeping design artifacts closer to the code that generates them. The MCP surface also opens a programmable path for CI pipelines or custom agents to update design boards as part of automated workflows.
